For those that earn Summit, AbbVie intends the trip to be experienced for the year earned. If you are unable to attend the trip, please decline the invitation on the 2023 Summit All Star trip website as soon as possible and contact your BHR partner for next steps.
No. You can only attend the wave assigned to you and your franchise. If you are not able to attend the dates assigned to you, please alert you manager, and decline the trip via your invitation once you receive it.
No. hotel assignments are based on your Franchise.
Should you need to shorten your trip for any reason, you will not be reimbursed or compensated for any days (including meals, activities, hotel accommodations, gifts etc.) that you may miss. The Summit All Star trip activities and inclusions are only offered on the official program dates.
Summit trip winners’ guests must be 21 years or older and may not be another AbbVie employee, vendor, contractor, HCP or customer of AbbVie, unless it is a spouse or domestic partner.
The Summit All Star Incentive Trip is designed to accommodate participants ages 21 years or older. Summit destinations and activities are geared towards adults. Children of Summit winners who are 21 years or older may attend the trip as the selected guest of the winner. Guest may not be another AbbVie employee, vendor, contractor, HCP or customer of AbbVie, unless it is a spouse or domestic partner.
The Summit Award covers the Summit All Star and ONE official guest only during the program dates. Only the Summit All Star and their one official guest are eligible to attend Summit functions and activities.. Non-registered guests are not allowed during the official dates of the Summit Trip. This includes children under the age of 21, family members and any other person that is a non-registered guest through the Summit Award registration.
We recommend that you register for your activities as soon as you register for the trip and as early as possible upon receipt of your invitation.
Check in with the Summit All Star Hospitality Desk to receive your cash allowance for your meals at leisure. The amount you receive is for both you and your one official guest and you will be asked to sign and acknowledge receipt. Cash allowance will not be provided on travel dates.

All travel must be coordinated through Madison. Madison has contracted special fares and guaranteed numbers of passengers with the airlines on our behalf. Flight availability is on a “first come, first served” basis. Please be advised you are responsible for any incremental costs associated with purchasing an upgradeable airfare versus a standard, non-refundable ticket. Additionally, due to the rules and regulations of most airline frequent flyer programs, Madison is unable to request upgrades with miles on your behalf. If you desire an upgrade, you will need to call your airline or frequent flyer program directly to secure any upgrade with your miles.
All extensions must be approved by your Sales Director and you are responsible for any costs outside of the program dates. Due to back-to-back waves, wave 1 of the Summit All Trip will have limited options to post-extend at either host hotel due to availability. Wave 2 of the Summit All Star trip will have limited options to pre-extend at either of the two host hotels due to limited availability.
If you, the AbbVie employee, must leave the program early for any reason, your one official registered guest is not allowed to attend any functions without you. Additionally, hotel accommodations, activities, meal functions, gifts, cash allowance and transportation will only be covered by the program if you are present.
